A friendship more than two decades in the making.
Our Story
Hello, my name is Chris, and I wanted to thank you for taking the time to look around the Express Biologics website.
I've tried to share information here that I found interesting and useful myself when Frederick and Mercedes Kweh, founders of KWEHEALTH LLC, introduced me to the world of regenerative medicine a few years ago.
While much of this website explores the science surrounding this field and the fascinating world of exosomes, I wanted to use this little corner of the site to introduce you to the people behind the products—and tell you how we all came to work together.
In 2001, Frederick and I met as college students working in the chemistry lab at Santa Fe College in Gainesville, Florida. During our first week of class, I was on my way to school when I spotted someone who looked like Frederick waiting at the bus stop. Sure enough, it was him. I pulled over, jumped out of the car and asked, “Hey, need a ride?”
I picked him up at that same bus stop every Tuesday and Thursday for the rest of the semester. We've been close friends ever since.
Mercedes came into the picture a few years later when she and Frederick started dating—love was in the air! They eventually married and started a family. Although we only lived in Gainesville together for about four years, we remained close friends even as our lives and careers took very different paths.
I eventually moved back home to Miami and tried my hand at entrepreneurship a few times, while Frederick built a career in genetics, biotechnology and analytical development, and Mercedes built hers in immunology, molecular biology, regenerative medicine and biotechnology.
More than twenty years after Frederick and I first met, Fred and Mercedes founded KWEHEALTH LLC, a biotechnology and manufacturing company. When they introduced me to exosomes and the world of regenerative medicine, I was blown away.
I became fascinated by regenerative medicine and what many see as a new frontier in how we think about repairing and restoring biological function.
And that's ultimately how Express Biologics came to be part of this story.
We're real people, connected by a friendship that began more than two decades ago, working together to make these products and the information behind them more accessible to the people looking for them.

Today, Frederick and Mercedes are the founders of KWEHEALTH LLC, the biotechnology and manufacturing company behind the HydroKarma products currently offered through Express Biologics.
Express Biologics
Express Biologics does not manufacture these products. My role is on the distribution and customer side—making the products available while giving customers access to the information, testing and documentation that can help them understand what they're considering.
The companies have different roles, but the relationship behind them began long before either company existed.

Why I Built Express Biologics
One thing I've learned while getting to know this field is how difficult it can be to separate meaningful information from marketing.
That's why I want Express Biologics to be a place where people can look beyond the claims and learn more about what they're actually considering—from where a product comes from and how it's manufactured to testing, particle characterization and Certificates of Analysis.
